Carl Joseph Aquilizan er koreograf, utøver og skribent. Han er Inkubator-deltaker fra 2021 hvor han har utviklet soloprosjektet Flower Boy. Han er med i TekstLabs Teaching Artist program og er samskapende kunstner i kollektive produksjoner.
Susanne Xin er kunstner og pianist. Etter å ha deltatt i TekstLab Unge Stemmer og Prøverom Ung er hun nyeste tilskudd til TekstLab Inkubator. Susanne er involvert som teaching artist for barn og ungdom og samskapende kunstner i TekstLabs kollektive prosjekter, i tillegg til å utvikle sitt eget prosjekt Cây đa.
AWATE is a visionary rapper, writer and producer raised in the bohemian London borough of Camden. Born in Saudi Arabia and originally from Eritrea, Awate is focused on stories at the intersection of race class and surrealism – with a dose of humour.
Awate’s 2018 debut album ‘Happiness’ and 2016 EP, ’Shine Ancient’ (both produced by Turkish Dcypha) were supported by BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra Spotify Noisey MOBO x Help Musicians UK and called a “British rap masterpiece” by Trench Magazine.
A former Artist in Residence at the Tate and British Library in 2020 and 2019 Musician in Residence for the PRS Foundation and British Council working in Brazil in 2018 and Resident Artist at The Roundhouse in 2016. Awate has produced commissioned works mixing music, film, theatre and visual art. As a screenwriter, he has worked in the writer’s room of a US cable drama, optioned a feature treatment and had his first short film debut at the BFI in London.
