BILLETTER

Sentralen, Forstanderskapssalen,
torsdag 21. oktober,
kl. 17.45 – 18.45

Visninger og presentasjon av egen kunst med unge kunstnere. Med Michael Aspli, Christian Beharie, BLKBRD Collective (UK) og Elias Elvegaard fra TekstLab Unge Stemmer.

BLKBRD Collective’s work primarily explores themes of marginalisation, migration and displacement. These contexts are explored through public artwork and community engaged/led approach.. Their aim is to create public artworks that celebrate marginalised workers and communities in the UK. The  artist collective (London based),  is concerned with honouring the sacrifices of migrants to Britain today.

BLKBRD Collective was formed as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The artists started painting murals during the government allocated hour of exercise that was implemented in March 2020. Travelling the city on bicycles and scooters they painted on boarded up hoardings that appeared following the threat of the pandemic.
